Night-time Discovery

‘At night by the water, when everyone was asleep, it felt as though all the evil in the world had been banished. It felt as though the air was pure, that all tension had gone,’ said Jopie. The exhibition Night is a tribute to Jopie’s love of the night. 

The museum invited young and established artists who, like Jopie Huisman, embrace the night. Artists who have an eye for what the night offers: from a searching owl and a forgotten shrub to an unexpected insight.
